Beach Bag Essentials

It's no secret that we'd live at the beach if we could. For now, though, we'll settle for long, sunny beach days whenever we can. To avoid leaving the beach every few hours, we've nailed packing a beach bag down to a science. Below is a list of beach bag essentials you must have with you for a day of oceanside fun.

Sun Screen

Should really go without say, but you cannot go to the beach without sun screen. Ever.

Our Recommendation: Sun Bum

For drying off, sure, but more importantly, to lay down to enjoy a good book or nap.

Our Recommendation: The Beach People

Reusable Water Bottle

Plastic is terrible for the ocean and for marine life, and it also doesn't keep your water cold or the sand out. We love reusable water bottles, especially on the beach.

Our Recommendation: Larq

Alexa: play our Summer 2019 Beach Playlist

Our Recommendation: Ultimate Ears

We do not recommend bringing your favorite shades to the beach. Sand scratches, the salt disintegrates, the waves steal's just not worth it. After many casualties, we've found some cute pairs on Amazon and the like.

Our Recommendation: Vintage-Inspired Sunglasses

Rose Water

To refresh and hydrate your skin throughout the day.

Our Recommendation: Aerin Rose Water / Thayers Rose Water Mix

Jewelry Bag

We keep our jewelry on, but it's proper protocol to remove it if you want to keep it as pristine as possible. If that's the case, a proper jewelry storage bag is better than the bottom of your beach bag, tangled in a nautical knot.

Our Recommendation: Hattie Banks Storage Bag

Swim, read, sleep, repeat.

Our Recommendation: Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald

Beach Game

Grab your friends, and start a game. There's nothing like sports in the sand.

Our Recommendation: Zurner Oceanic Backgammon

To capture the summer moments.

Our Recommendation: Instax Polaroid Camera
